Press Release October 23, 2017

Paris Police responded to a burglary of a building in the 600 block of SE 4th St at 7:07 A.M. on October 20, 2017. It was found that someone had cut the locks off of the front doors and made entry. At this time, it is unknown what items were taken. The investigation is ongoing.

Davis                Harper
Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 1100 block of SE 12th St on October 20, 2017 for failing to give a signal of intent to turn. During the investigation, officers smelled the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. Officers arrested Adrien Antijuan Davis, 28, and Calvin Warren Harper, 20, both of Paris when officers located numerous small baggies of synthetic marijuana inside the vehicle. Davis and Harper were charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. Harper had given officers a wrong name upon the initial contact and he was also charged with fail to identify. They were later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.


Officer responded to a report of a stolen vehicle at 865 Deshong Dr. at 8:39 P.M. on October 22, 2017. It was reported that a 2013 Silver Ford Fusion with Michigan license plates was taken from the parking lot of the Women’s Pavilion sometime between 7 A.M. and 8 P.M. on October 22, 2017. The incident is under investigation.


Paris Police responded to a call of a criminal trespass in the 800 block of Pine Bluff St at 3:07 A.M. on October 22, 2017. It was reported that an unknown white male had entered the complainant’s residence without permission and was intoxicated. Officers located the male in the kitchen and identified him as 38 year old Dustin Craig Nicoll of Powderly. Nicoll was found to be in possession of Hydrocodone pills that he did not have a prescription for. Nicoll was arrested and charged with criminal trespass and possession of a controlled substance.


Paris Police responded to 256 calls for service and arrested 11 persons over the past 72 hour period ending at midnight on October 23, 2017.
