   On 03-16-2018 at 9:30 P.M. Officers made contact with Zachary Gandy (31 YOA male) in the 3800 block of Lamar Ave as a result of a traffic stop. Gandy was found to be intoxicated and was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. Due to previous convictions, Gandy’s charge was enhanced to a felony offense. 

 
On 03-16-2018 at 9:43 P.M. Officers responded to a shoplifter complaint in the 3800 block of Lamar Ave. Officers were told that a black male and black female had taken items from the store without paying and when approached by store employees, the two subjects fled. Officers located the suspects on the parking lot and were placed under arrest for misdemeanor theft of property. The female was identified as Iesha Gordon (37 YOA female) and she was found to have two previous convictions for theft which caused the charge against her to be enhanced to a felony charge. Gordon was also charged with three outstanding misdemeanor warrants. 

 
On 03-17-2018 at 3:53 P.M. Officers made contact with Geral Willingham (46 YOA male) in the 1300 block of NW 18th in regards to Willingham having an outstanding felony motion to revoke probation warrant. Willingham was placed under arrest for the warrant. 

 
On 03-17-2018 at 4:21 P.M. Officers made contact with Lashaunda Cisneros (27 YOA female) in the 2700 block of Clarksville Street as a result of a traffic stop. Cisneros was found to be in possession of 4 Morphine Sulfate pills and was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance. 

 
On 03-18-2018 at 1:01 A.M. Officers made contact with Chad Newberry (36 YOA male) in the 1800 block of Clarksville Street while checking a vehicle which was parked beside a closed business. Newberry was found to be in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine and was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor charge. 


 On 03-18-2018 at 5:01 A.M. Officers responded to a family disturbance in the 1700 block of W Shiloh. Officers were told that Dexter Williams (49 YOA male) had assaulted a member of the household by choking the subject. Williams was placed under arrest for assault family/household member impeding breath and a misdemeanor charge. 

 
On 03-18-2018 at 3:16 P.M. Officers responded to a disturbance in the 300 block of SW 5th. Officers located two white males in the 100 block of W Sherman who were involved in a disturbance. As Officers made contact one of the males returned to his vehicle and left the scene. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle but the driver refused to stop. The driver made several turns and continued driving until leaving the city limits and coming to a stop at FM 137 and County Road 23110. The driver was identified as Lloyd McKinley (38 YOA male) and was found to have an outstanding parole violation warrant. McKinley was placed under arrest for the warrant and for evading arrest/detention with a vehicle. 

 
On 03-16-2018 at 9:01 A.M. Officers responded to the 2800 block of Ballard Drive in regards to a burglary of a vehicle complaint. Officers were told that an unknown suspect had entered the complainant’s vehicle and had taken a 9mm handgun and a GPS. The investigation is ongoing. 

 
On 03-18-2018 at 12:37 A.M. Officers responded to the 1300 block of Clarksville in regards to an assault complaint. Officers were told that an unknown black male had assaulted the complainant by repeatedly punching the complainant in the head. The unknown suspect then took items from the complainant’s pockets and fled the scene. The suspect was described as tall with a slim build. The investigation is ongoing. 

 
On 03-18-2018 at 4:35 P.M. Officers responded to the 3700 block of Castlegate in regards to a burglary complaint. Officers were told that an unknown suspect entered the complainant’s residence and took numerous items including medication and clothing. The investigation is ongoing. 

 
On 03-18-2018 at 10:33 P.M. Officers responded to the 1900 block of Culbertson in regards to a shots fired complaint. Officers were told that a known person had fired a handgun at that location and  then fled the scene. The subject, who was identified as a previously convicted felon, was later located but was not found to be in possession of a firearm at that time. The investigation is ongoing. 

 
 Paris Police responded to 274 calls for service and arrested 29 persons over the three day weekend ending at 6:00 A.M. on March 19, 2018.
