 On 07-07-2018 at 7:35 P.M. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of Grand Ave and as a result made contact with Linzy Aaron (35 YOA female). Aaron was found to be in possession of  small amounts of methamphetamine and marijuana. Aaron admitted that she was delivering the methamphetamine to another person and was charged with manufacturing or delivery of a controlled substance. Due to there being a small child in the vehicle during the delivery, Aaron was also charged with abandon/endanger a child.

 
 On 07-06-2018 at 6:02 A.M. Officers responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint in the 2200 block of Briarwood. Officers made contact with Deshawn Alexander (24 YOA male) who was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana and a prescription bottle with no name on the bottle that contained 56 Ecstacy pills. Alexander was placed under arrest for manufacturing or delivery of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor charge. 

 
 On 07-08-2018 at 1:08 A.M. Officers made contact with Eric Basham (18 YOA male) in the 2300 block of Clarksville Street in regards to him being a suspicious person. Basham matched the description of a burglary suspect from a burglary in the 1800 block of Clarksville where officers were still on scene. Basham was positively identified by store video as the suspect in that burglary and was placed under arrest for burglary of a building. Basham also admitted to a burglary of another building in the 2000 block of Clarksville Street and was then charged with a second charge of burglary of a building. 

 
 On 07-07-2018 at 8:33 A.M. Officers responded to the 3400 block of W Campbell in regards to an illegal dumping complaint. Officers located the suspect vehicle in the 500 block of NW Loop 286 and made contact with Marcus Flowers (51 YOA male). Flowers was found to have an outstanding parole violation warrant and was placed under arrest. 

 
 On 07-08-2018 at 12:38 P.M. Officers responded to the 10 block of N Plaza in regards to a warrant arrest. Officers made contact with Charles Porter (63 YOA male) who was found to have an outstanding parole violation warrant and a misdemeanor warrant. Porter was placed under arrest for the warrants.

 
 On 07-08-2018 at 2:04 P.M. Officers responded to the 100 block of SW 41st in regards to a disturbance in progress. It was reported that Juan Vega (38 YOA male) had assaulted the complainant by grabbing the complainant by the neck, causing the complainant to have difficulty breathing. Vega was placed under arrest for assault family/household member by impeding breath. 

 
 On 07-06-2018 at 11:56 A.M. Officers responded to the 300 block of NW 24th in regards to a credit/debit card abuse complaint. It was reported that a possible known suspect had used the complainant’s credit/debit card to conduct several unauthorized transactions at different locations. The investigation is ongoing. 

 
 On 07-06-2018 at 1:50 P.M. Officers responded to the 3100 block of Clarksville Street in regards to a burglary. It was reported that an unknown suspect forced entry into the building and took several bottles of flavoring. The investigation is ongoing. 

 
 On 07-06-2018 at 9:02 P.M. Officers responded to the 1700 block of Fairfax in regards to a burglary of a vehicle. It was reported that an unknown suspect entered the complainant’s vehicle and took a 9mm handgun and cash from inside. The investigation is ongoing. 

 
 On 07-07-2018 at 12:51 P.M. Officers responded to the 1500 block of Clarksville Street in regards to a fraud complaint. It was reported that an unknown female paid for items during a transaction with a counterfeit $20 bill. The female left prior to police being notified. The investigation is ongoing. 

 
 On 07-08-2018 at 3:09 P.M. Officers met with a complainant in the police department lobby in regards to a credit/debit card abuse complaint. It was reported that a possible known suspect had used the complainant’s credit/debit card without the owners consent. The location of the use of the credit/debit card was unknown at the time of the report. The investigation is ongoing. 

                        
  On 07-08-2018 at 8:02 P.M. Officers responded to a burglary of a residence complaint in the 1100 block of NW 13th. It was reported that possible known suspect had entered the complainant’s residence and took several items including a television and tools. The investigation is ongoing. 

 
 On 07-09-2018 at 12:23 A.M. Officers responded to the 900 block of Fitzhugh in regards to an assault complaint. It was reported that a known suspect had assaulted the complainant with a golf club causing lacerations to the complainant’s back and head. The victim was transported to the local hospital for treatment. The investigation is ongoing.       

 
 Paris Police responded to 312 calls for service and arrested 23 persons over the three day weekend ending at 6:00 A.M. on July 9, 2018.
